Endlers...

i got some endlers about 2 weeks ago from my lfs, and left them in the bag in my tank to sit before i started to let some of the tank water in ect but the platies in my tank got really interested in them as did my bumble bee goby. i think they thought the endlers were food as i get a lot of daphnia and glass worm ect for them. When i let one swim out of the bag they all chased him... he got away and managed to hide in the plants. I got too worried that they would end up prey so ive taken all the endler out and have kept them in a separate tank on there own for the past two weeks hoping they might get bogger but they are still really small. when i got my neons from the lfs they where so small and they're really big now, they've more then doubled in size.

how big do endlers get? are they safe to be kept with the other fish?

also ive only got three neons (i used to have 4 but i lost one)... the guy at the shop told me to get 4, but a lot of people have said i need no less then 6?? they seem fine with there just being three of them, they've been that way for about 6months

I usually keep my endlers by themselves but they should be OK with platies once they are full adult size. Adult endlers can get to about 3/4 inch plus the tail on a male and about 1 1/4 inches plus tail for a female. They take about 2 months to get that size from being new born.
