Hi! I know very little about breeding live bearers and might have messed up a bit I was hoping for some advice-

I have one lone male Endler in one of my tanks and I put a few Rocket Panchax in, the Endler was chasing them around everywhere so I have been trying to find a few female Endlers to keep him occupied. I can find them nowhere at the moment but I thought if I got a couple of female Guppies they might do. I did that and it totally resolved the situation. however now one of the females looks like this-

Is she up the duff? I didn't think that they could interbreed, is this not the case? And if so, will the fry be ok?

Cheers,

its possible the male you have now is a cross, many breeders wouldn't mix gups with endlers as it breaks the line of genes, if your not bothered about this then i see no harm, and she could be pregnant i find it hard to tell on pictures

The fry should be absolutely fine, guppies and endlers are close enough to each other to interbreed without any health risks. The only problems will occur when the fry are ready to be sold, as they may end up being sold as endlers, and so messing up the breed. So just make sure you sell them as hybrids, to somebody who is not going to sell them on as pure endlers. Or keep them and enjoy them. Some endler/guppy hybrids are very attractive, as long as one knows which is which.

thjat guppie is jsut like my female. and preggo liek mine.. LOL..
