hi, i have my 38l fry tank empty atm as i have got rid of fry for now and want to get rid of ramshorns, (im selling them so if you want any pm me, i have mostly browns but 2 or so reds left)

i still want to use it as a fry tank (for platies and mollies) but i was thinking of having a shrimp tank as well. some shrimps like cherries, amano's and an others people can recommend, that wont touch the fry! but i have a few questions, i like the idea of having no substrate as it is soo easy to clean but, i wouldnt mind having some gravel in a couple of the corners for a live plant or 2. i have gravel left over from my main tank so i can do this easy. is there any reson i cant do this? how do i get the gravel to stay in one area? can anyone recommend any other cheap shrimp that i can look into getting? oh and lastly it has 1.8 wpg so would this be enough to grow some java moss as i know shrimp like this. any other tips/help would be great cheers.

I know sod all about shrimp but I always figured they like to have some sort of substrate - I may be wrong, one of the experts will post soon no doubt.

As for how to get gravel to stay in one area, unless you're going to seal some plastic in place to create enclosures I've got no idea.
