Just like in high school, girls in tanks will determine who's the queen fish and the rest of the peons will then follow her around.

It's all about the highschool hierarchy, like in The New Guy, with where you sit on the steps for lunch.. Or even better, from Mean Girls: Regina, Gretchen, Cady, and the ridiculously dumb blonde girl whose name I can't remember [Karen], but "I think I have like, ESPN or something.." Even they had a pecking order.
It started out Regina, Gretchen, Karen.
Then Cady got thrown into the mix.
Regina, Cady, Karen, Gretchen.

Someone's always getting picked on, but with Cady [so the fourth female betta] the aggression was spread around a bit more, and everyone was picked on evenly rather than it being just one girl taking all the blows.
Wow.. can't believe I just related Mean Girls to female bettas..
