Elite 35 Tank

I've managed to get an Elite 35 tank on a freeby today without many calculations you'll see that it's 35 litres or 9 us gallons.
Anyhoo, i'm just after some possible ideas? I think i'm gunna go for a lightly planted tank.

The stocking must go around my male VT Betta. I'm shutting his tank down, but want to keep him, so he's going in there.
I was thinking possibly Red Cherries? Few Snails of some sort? Then I didn't know? Shall I go for a Tetra shoal (considering tank size) Maybe an ADF? One of the smaller species of Rasbora? Pygmy Cory's?

Plant wise i'm going to have to do some research for small species. I'm going dwarf hair grass definately and...?

i had a group of 10 Pygmy's in my 8 Gal with a Betta

I like pygmys but I can never find the little buggers! My LFS's never have them
Are they a nice shoaling cory?

there great when you have a large group of them, i now have 16 in my 15gal and they never stay still

Pygmy's also tend to hang around the middle more than larger cories.

Kresgrave on Ebay sell. Got most of mine for there as I had a similar problem, I was really impressed.
