I was given an electronic Co2 System from a member of family the other day and was curious if anyone has used one before ?.

The instructions arent to clever , though from the looks of it its a carbon plate inside the casing , and the amount of Co2 given off is adusted by moving the slider on the mains adapter (works up to 200 liters)

It mentions to make sure the unit is turned off when the lights go out at night (possibally on the same timer switch) otherwise the fish may starve of oxygen and die.

I havent attempted to use this as i am unsure weather it will work ? or just a waste of time ?

I have not used one personally, but they have a poor reputation. They alter the water chemistry of your aquarium (reducing the carbonate hardness) and are quite inefficient. Usual guidance is just to use DIY yeast or go for a pressurised system.
