Ehiem 2026 Noise Issue

Hi

I just set up my new ehiem 2026 im suprised to find its noiser then my tetra ex600! Like a low pitch hum noise will this settle as the filter beds in or is this a fault?

It depends how loud it is. It might be a bit of air trapped, or it might be by design. I assume it's pumping water OK and there is no restriction to the flow (ie, the taps are open etc)?

Try tilting the filter gently to see if it burps some air out...

I shake the filter and bubbles come out.....I've had it brand new today its like a grumble hum noise I only get a faint hum with my tetra if that got air trapped otherwise not a wisper I cant really remember if my tetra was as noisey when i first had it!
