Peeps,

I have a 120L tank that requires an External Filter upgrade, ive been looking at the Eheim Pro 2 2028.

Price aside, do you think its gonna 'washing machine' my tank? Id rather go bigger, as id like a bigger tank in the future, but wont waste the money if its gonna destroy my community tank.

Any advice is great.

The filter will be second hand BTW

Thanks

~Paul

Thats 31 gallons and may be a bit much but with the 2028's you can restrict the flow if it's needed.

eheim is the best filters u can get so i'll do it if i was u.

i think it may be to large as they are aimed at tanks with the size of 600l. i'm not sure of the flow rate, but you could always aim the spray bar directly into the glass to reduce the flow.

Im just worried that ill waste my money i suppose, its a really good deal.

All the references i can find online are 55g, 150g etc..

Will i waste my dosh?

i think yer its a bit of overkill. go for something around 250l. which i think is the 2026. out of curiosity how much is the 2028?

I think it will be absolutely fine, I have an eheim pro 3 2075 running on my 33 gal with no probs what so ever. As mentioned you can reduce the flow if you wish but mine runs on max flow with a spray bar.
