mine was about a metre away from my head all i could hear was water trickling when the water level got low.

its noisy for the first couple of days because theres still air in the filter but it soon settles down.

aww ok thanks, need it to be quiet as its in my room and would like to get some sleep lol, it would probably do me beter aving that and taking the air wll out as i have to turn tha off in the nights becasue it keeps me up all night lol

aww and one last question, my tank is a Tetra AquaArt 60L Tropical Aquarium which has a lid on it, but has slots either side for wires and stuff, would the filter still work with this tank as it has a hood on it?
