What media do i need for this filter? it came with 2 circular blue sponges.
Normal circular sponges, actual eheim media, bio cylinders etc?

its all up to you, i would use a combination of sponges and media, such as ceramic noddles, stintered glass media, eheim susbtrat pro, something like that, and then optionally, filter floss can be added at the top of the filter to "polish" the water.

The nice thing about a canister is you put whatever you want in it. I have bio rocks the ones with holes in them one sponge lots on those rocks, then that filter floss stuff. Thats how I run mine.

anything would work you dont have to put eheim media in a eheim filter its totally up to you. i have noodles at the bottom followed by 2 sponges then substrat balls then another sponge and finally floss the filters come new with just sponges which is possibly what you have, the spare ones that were not used.

I cant find any eheim media sets for the 2211 which number shall i go for?

If you want to buy a set, any of the round sponges can be cut to fit and obviously the ceramic will fit in. I use plastic pot scrubbers in my 2213 (and Substrat Pro), cheaper than buying the 'proper' stuff.

SO does the ceramic just fit into the filter without any bags? and which number should i go for so i dont have to cut too much off?
Or a list of anything else people have used in their filters?
