I have 10 of these little bauties that I've had since tiny, think they were born in January 09

they're all about an inch and a bit long and I caught a pair spawning yesterday evening and now a female has a huge load of eggs in her mouth

how lond they carry for, I know they won;t hatch and survive cos the egyptians are in my discus tank with tetras as well

Looks like the babies hatched last night as I can lots of eyes through the transparent part of the neck pouch!!

I'm kicking myself now that my spare tank is brackish cos that would have been idealfor the female to go into!!

has no one bred these fish before?

these guys are prolific another female is carrying a batchof eggs now

I've bred them and you can strip the female of the fry if you have a spare small tank to raise them in.
