don't worry about those mate, just get yourself up to a 1" sheet of polystyrene and place that underneath your substrate. I had HUGE rocks in my tank using it and upon emptying at the weekend it was still in top condition.

Can get the sheets from the likes of a builders merchants. just ensure it's clean before you put it in your tank. a hose down won't do any harm.
