I found a petstore today taht keeps their bettas In 5 gallon tanks. the Fish healthy and happy not only that when I asked stupid newbie questions about bettas the lady gave me the correct answers...... These fish here have bubble nests and are sooo big and happy

All the fish in this store are house properly and happily its amazing I am only shopping there now esp since they said they make sure the fish they buy are shipped in no less then on gall of water too and that small cups is no way to house a fish.

The only complaint I had was the tanks are alittle bare a live plant thats it no gravel or anything but filtered and heated so what ever
clean too

I'd say the reason they are bare on live plants in the tanks is from what I read Betta's do not eat plants so they decide not to keep plants in the tanks for oxygen purposes.....

barebottom tanks are also easier to clean and keep clean.

thats good i was born and raised in Calgary Alberta but now im living in Grand Cayman. im going to go back to cowtown in a year or so.

what kinds of bettas do they have? do they have any unique ones?
do they have a selection of live plants?.
i've never been to that store before, i'll have to take a look!

That sounds wonderful! Now, if I could only find something like that in London, Ontario. I think not enough people realize Bettas are beautiful fish that need ROOM And just because the pet stores keep them in cups does NOT mean that's how they should be kept. It's ignorant and cruel. They are beautiful TROPICAL fish and I'm glad there are stores out there that realize this Lucky you!!

Its an awesome store, lol they dont even carry any of the artifically colored fish. The bettas that I saw werent spectacular but then they didnt have many and were waiting on a shipment...
Some of them had ragged fins I think this was due to fin biting nothing more and they said they were treating them the address is :

I probably couldn't shop at a store like that because I would die of a heart attack the first time I checked it out.
