I've had tonnes of bettas delivered by post and not one DOA, I mean about 30-40 bettas, Holly has already recommended a lot of reliable sellers so go with what she has said

hi, yup ive got some on ebay atm, might be a slight delay in shipping out as the temp is due to drop dramatically though but your welcome to buy, i pack with 2 bags, heat pack, bubble wrap around the bag and extra insulation in the box, on cooler nights i wrap the box in bubblewrap and then brown paper, and add fragile warnings on the parcels,the water is always fresh water and 1/3 full with 2/3 oxygen and i add a crystal to lock in ammonia,fish not fed 24 hours before delivery all sent next day delivery and in great order., fresh stock in every week

So if I won the bid say, on Monday, when would the fish arrive? Also, I worried about fish that are dead on arrival...

all mine are buy it nows, which means once you click on it you actually buy it so there no bidding required, DOA is a thing that even us retailers and wholesalers experience when ordering from abroad its just a thing that could happen but very rarely does happen, the onlt thing we can do is to eliminate as much as we can the risk to this happening, its always a risk no matter what but once you get use to ordering fish online, no matter where you buy them from you do get used to it. we have a 100% refund plocy starting on monday so that if any DOA happen the postage is refunded as well, we are doing this to prove that we dont make money out of postage so we dont mind repaying the amount back if something happens. if you purchase a fish we both agree on a day where you are going to be in to receive your fish as it needs to be signed for, the picture thing is to stop people making false claims on dead fish, its easy to see a DOA even thru a double bagged item.

It depends on when your payment is made? Goods wont be dispatched until funds have cleared. I dont believe fish are shipped on a Fri or Sat?

If you are really that worried, dont buy from ebay.

yup true never buy off someone who will post for a saturday delivery as they arent taking the health of the fish into consideration b/c what happens if there is a delay and they have to go over the weekend in the parcel, most heat packs will run for 24 hours hours and some others run for 48 hours like ours

yup thats the general idea, if your thinking of buying any betta, like i said be prepared to comprimize on the delivery day due to bad weather though, apart from that its ok, as a buyer a while ago i used to get fish delivered regardless what day i asked them to arrive on, make sure the seller states that the fish will arrive on that day and not any day that suits the sellers, some do this unfortunately so its important to ask. we normally able to dispatch next day if the fish hasnt eaten for 24 hours
