If you have sand what about a small shoal (4-6) of Pigmy Cory. They use mid-lower water level and of course the bottom.

Right, just read up on them and it says that
they do prefer to be in groups and a minimal
current is preferred, so your internal should be fine IMO,

Wow lol I'm thinking of getting some

i dunno though i think id really prefere fish after all thats what i keep fish not amphibians

and i have more than enough cories in my other tanks at the minute ill know what i want when i see it if i ever see it

You could try some neon gobies. They are full of movement, have a different manner from the usual community fish, are seemingly easy to keep and are gorgeous to look at with their green iridescent heads and orange tipped fins. They also are tireless algae munchers (they also love bloodworm).

what about some zebra danios and try breedin them imo their well cool (if ya haint all ready)

I'm not sure about size requirements for species, but smaller killi species would work and they would look beautiful.

Just because some tetra are small fish dosn't mean you can add them to a small tank.
No less than 10 gallons for a neon tetra they are a shoaling fish.

i might have a read up on them actualy like the sound of that :good:

id have either a male fighter and 3 oto's or a dwarf puffer!!!
if you have a read of my signature you'll see i already have dwarf puffers

EDIT:neon gobies are marine and require a minimum of 40 litres so there a no go!

mojoDex if you google 'stiphodon' and go down to AkwaFoto (near end page 1) you will see the most beautiful freshwater gobies.

What about Killi Fish, brightly coloured and active.

also PFK (Feb 2007) page 106 has an article by Christophe Mailliet on freshwater and brackish gobies. My stiphodon sp. are in my freshwater tank. They were not expensive.

How about some of these :

"Scientists have discovered the smallest known fish on record in the peat swamps of the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

Mature individuals of the Paedocypris genus can be as small as 7.9mm (0.3in) long! To keep their size down, the fish have abandoned many of the attributes of adulthood - a characteristic hinted at in their name. Being so small, the fish can live through even extreme drought, by seeking refuge in the last puddles of the swamp.

Scientists warn long-term prospects for the fish are poor, because widespread forest destruction, drainage of the peat swamps for palm oil plantations and persistent fires are destroying their habitat."

You could probably have quite a few in that tank.
