Easiest Way To Put A Uv Light In A Small 30l Tank?

as the title says please, prefrabully a link to an ebay item would be very nice also.

at the moment ive just got a small bulb under the hood and i really dont see how a uv light will fit :)
 
don't waste your time or money trying to put a UV unit on a small tank. It isn't necessary. In fact UV units aren't necessary for the average fish keeper at all. In a shop yes, on a group of tanks that are joined up together and having the same water flowing through them, yes. But not for a small stand alone tank. Save your money.
 
ah ok, what about if I want the light colour to look better? at the moment its quite warm id like a white or blueish light ideally :)
 
If you already have a flourescent light in there, you might be able to find a replacement bulb that has a "cooler" color light. If the light has a number on it like 4000K, 5500K, 8000K, etc - the higher numbers will look more "cool". (if i remember correctly)
 
get a light globe with a higher Kelvin (K) rating, around 6,500K to 10,000K. The 10,000K are normally used on marine tanks but work fine on freshwater and give a really clear light.
