Can I Feed My Molly, Black Skirt Tetra And Five Banded Barb Chopped Up Earthworm ?

You can.... but you need to know they are clean and not been near any fertilizers or weedkillers outside and tbh... its a bit grim when there are so many prepared frozen foods you could use like bloodworm, blackworm, tubifex, krill, mysis, brineshrimp, daphnia, tropical mix, cyclops, and many more im sure...

Ok so if I get a earthworm then should I just put it in ?

Why, what else were you planning? Sauteeing in double virgin olive oil, garlic and ginger, and drizzled with balsamic vinegar?

So long as the worm is clean and not contaminated with pesticides, weedkillers, etc, you can do what you want with it. If it has got some weedkiller on it, or whatever, then it'll probably kill your fish.

So I don't need to boil or clean it ?

To answer you, I would refer you back to this.

I sometimes give my fish an earth worm from my garden. All I do is give it a good clean under a tap, chop it up and throw it in. Just make sure to clean out any leftovers (if any) afterwards :good:

I have never felt comfortable with this. I once dug up some earthworms which took me ages of digging to find but couldnt bear to chop them. So i thought right! - i'll chop them with my eyes shut ....couldnt do it. So I thought right!- just throw them in the tank...threw them in and then couldn't bear to see them drowning, so i picked them out and put them back in the garden!!

I would say, try one yourself and if it's tasty then give it to your fish ;)

Seriously though, I would just buy live/frozens much easier and less 'messy'.

Basically you can, try to get these worms from somewhere away from gardens, you could try washing them with cold water, or at least running them under tap water, but that is it, you could chop them up but I know for a fact big fish will eat them whole and alive.

I treat my jack dempseys regularly with chopped worms. Not from the garden though, i get them from a bait supplier. They freeze well too
