so im using an old tank to grow some plants in the backyard and convert them slowly to brackish
Got some vals, and hygros, and bacopa but ive only found once source stating E tenellus is really brackish.

from here http://www.wetwebmedia.com/brackishsubwebindex/bracplants.htm

every other finding of it online seems to be quoting that.

Anyone have any personal experience as to whether it will acclimate to brackish or not?

Depends on the salinity. I wouldn't keep any plant above SG 1.002/1.003, which is ample for all sorts of low-end brackish species such as mollies, gobies, killifish, etc. Under such conditions, E. tenellus can do fine, but it is picky about substrate quality and lighting.

Cheers, Neale

ah ok neal, thanks for the info. Ya the page state its as "well regarded as part time marine" which conjures up ideas of high tolerance, but it is good to know it can be acclimated to 1.003sg
