[sub]i've had my tank for about 5 months now and recently my fish have kept dying, apparently for no reason.
i've spent loads of money on medicines and stuff but they don't seem to work.
and i've changed the water numerous times and although they perk up for a while and appear healthy and active, they soon go back to they way they were before i changed the water.

some gasp at the surface and clamp their fins, wheras other lie on the bottom or near to, and breathe rapidly.

i have no idea what is wrong with them and i have already lost about 10 fish because of this. :-(

please help.[/sub]

please email me if you can help at all.

How often do you do water changes and what volume do you change?
Have you tested or had your water tested recently? If not, test it or take it to the lps/lfs to be tested by a liquid test.
How many, what kind, and what size fish are in what size tank? Please give the dimensions and volume of the tank.
Do you use a declorinator when you do water changes? What measure do you use?
What meds and for what period of time have you used them?

The symptoms you describe are most likely the result of water quality.

Until further reaserch on your tank and fish is comleted: do frequent small water changes--2 a day is not too much.
