Hiya, i have just had an idea, Dwarf puffers in a Fluval Edge  would 2 of these be ok in a tank of this size, with a shrimp or two to keep sand/gravel clean. I'm thinking well planted with nano co2 unit also :fun: ....any comments on this idea ? i think it will look cool

Thanks Lewis "i cant make my mind up"

Unfortunately not. Dwarf puffers need a fairly decent amount of space. Although they are tiny and cute, They are not. There aggressive and very very very needy.

There are some awesome Edge setups on here though for you too look at. :) just have a quick search.

Good luck. Cant wait too hear where you go from here.

Personally, I think it would be fine for a single puffer, the shrimp maybe eaten though.

How many gallons is a fluval edge? I've had 4 dwarf puffers in a 16 gal with a pleco for quite some time now with absolutely no problems. Unfortunately though, I'm not all that fond of having puffers. They are cute up close, but you can barely see them in the tank and they are definately not colorful. My kids like them so I guess they will be around for a while.

The edge is about 5-6 gallons when filled, I agree with the above poster though, I found them to be the most boring fish I've ever kept.

hiya, the fluval edge is a 5 EU gallon tank.....arhhhhh i'm so undecided in what to do with the tank
One think i am certain of is that i want it well planted with plenty of lush grees grass

 Not the advice im looking for.....Nope sorry the Edge it is, just don't know what to to do with it fish wise

your kinda limited really, small tetras/minnows are all that come to mind ;/ They look nice, dont get me wrong, they just cant support many fish happily. :|

The only thing I can thing of are Ember Tetra's or anything from the Boraras genus, even then I wouldn't feel comfortable putting them in a tank this small, It'd be fine for something like some shrimp and a group sparkling gourami's.
