Would be grateful for any advice.

im getting a Juwel Rio 240L this week and want to set it up as a dwarf Mbuna tank.
The two species i definately want are pseudotropheus saulosi and Iodotropheus Sprengerae, but unsure if i should   (1)  Have only these two species
                               (2) Have these two species and another compatible species (I like
                                     Cynotilapia afra "Cobue) or A,N.Other
                                (3) These two and some Synodontis Lucipinnis (I realise these are
                                      are Tanganikan)

Thanks in advance for any advice/Input

While I only have experience keeping the pseudotropheus saulosi right off hand I'd say stick to species from the same lake.
While mixing different lake species can work out it is much harder then keeping fish from the same lake.
That being said in a bigger tank like that you can very easily keep three different species so I'd say pick a third type of fish from the same lake.
Whatever you go with I wish you luck with keeping these super fun fish :)

What are the tanks dimensions? Depending on that you may be able to add another group.

Never mind just googled the dimensions. You would fine with 3 species and the synos. I'm not sure I would do the afras though. Having 2 species with barred males may cause problems.

Thanks for the reply. Had yellow labs before and they were lovely fish but aren't they a bit big for a four foot tank ?
