Dwarf Gourami's Ventral Fin Broke!

One of my gourami's ventral fins (whiskers) was broken in half at the store. I was originally going to get the red flame variety, but I decided to rescue him. Will it grow back/scab over, or will I have to treat it with some meds?

It should grow back beautifully, a good choice would be to change the water in small amounts daily or every other day, and watch out for any fungal infections. I wouldnt add the medicine unless needed in the tank, when, and if the gourami attains a fungal infection which would be very unlikely as long as he is given clean, warm water

good to hear! I've got some fungal medicine at the ready just in case.
