Dwarf Gourami Habbits-Spiting Water at me when I feed him!

So lately after Moving him to his big new home my Powder Blue Dwarf has developed a habit.

Spitting water at me Whenever open the tank lid he times this perfectly aiming for my eyes whenever I decide to take a closer look into the tank

I know this is normal but why would he associate me as insect?

I must admit it’s funny but annoying sometimes

The fish associates the lid being opened with food and is spitting because it gets fed. Wear a pr of glasses when you work in the tank.
