Dwarf Gourami Bladder Ball?

Hi All,

My Drawf Gourami has got this large ball/growth.. no idea what the problem is?

Any suggestions?

Does it look soft like filled with fluid or hard looking.
Looks soft to me in the pic.
Once they have lumps like this filled with puss best issolate incase it burst as it can infect the whole tank.
Gourami are very prone to bacterial infections.

it looks hard like it swallowed a marble. if it bursts, will my gourami die?

If its hard sounds like you are dealing with a tumour.
I would still try a bacterial med to give the fish a chance.
Whats your location.

Im from Australia!

Can tumors appear all of a sudden? This one appears quite large for something that has just appeared 12 hours ago

Would you happen to know any specific brand name or type of med?

Like it said in that article lumps that just appear are usually bacterial.
Not sure what meds are available in your country ask the lfs they will point you in the right direction.
