Hi,

Have been reading the forum over the last few days, great advice and some fantastic looking planted tanks.

I am currently trying find advice on a replacement CO2 cylinder instead of the dupla original and one that can be exchanged for a full one at suitable outlets?

How does everyone else get their cylinders filled?

And does anyone know what thread size fitting is used on the dupla equipment?

TIA

Steve :)

i get mine refilled at a welding supply for about 5bucks...its a five pound tank..i dont know thread size ,but i know its a standard thread of the sort..

I take my cylinder to a shop that re-fills fire extinguishers. It is the only place in my town that fills them on the spot... the welding shop has to send them out, and it takes a week to get back.

^^^yah if you have a special cylinder it can be dropped and picked up a couple days later..usually i do an exchange, but i have a standard cylinder instead of the dupla and they usually give me the nice looking replacement..

Sorry should have added i am in the uk :D

Thanks for the replies, i am guessing the dupla gas cylinder fitting should be metric as the company was german but you mention bucks so is your fitting non metric?

Just for the record to help anyone else in the UK with the dupla regulator it is a standard refillable cylinder fitting for the UK and works very nicely too
