I've been dosing Tropica master grow for trace elements and have been dosing 1/2 the recommended dosage for a few weeks now and will using the full dose in a week. My question is, should I be spreading out the dosage over a week or can I just dose once a week?

Thanks

If your using the EI method, you would dose three times a week, usually around the 5ml mark for a 100ltr tank.
If i remember an article i read, it stated that increase levels of micro nutrients would give increased vigor in plant growth, but only to a certain point, where it becomes wasteful.

Tropica master grow, contains almost all nutrients i think, I've been using seachem's flourish which is a similar product in a 60ltr tank at 5ml per week to good effect, i probably could increase it.

Thanks. I thought I'd make it easier on myself by dosing once a week, but I'll spread it out over a week.

5ml 3x per week for every 20 US gallons if you have a highlight tank and follow EI principles, its also assuming the tank has a reasonable amount of plants in it.

Zig,

my tank is 29 gal and the lfs told me to dose 5 ml once a week with Tropica master grow for about a month, then 10 ml a week after that. I'm a little hesitant to add too much because I have some hair algae that I'm dealing with at the moment and I'm concerned that it will make it worse.. My tank does have a reasonable amount of plants with 2.3 watt a gallon. My nitrate is usually kept around 10 ppm and my C02 is close to 30 ppm. Any suggestions?

Thanks

The hair algae is probably due to low co2 levels so make sure you are on top of that.
