I started off with two goldfish in a bowl, and now I'm designing a 300 gallon tank with a 100 gallon heavily planted sump for an amazon biotope. Can't wait 'till I have where to put it

As per another post in the discussion section about it being an obssession .... Well worth a read as very entertaining.
Know where you coming from as i started with a 90 litre and now have four tanks
, a 25ltre, two 90 litre, a 120 and my pride & joy 5ft 420 litre!! .
Your up coming tank sounds as though will be awesome. What you going to put in it?

It's not exactly upcoming... it's still quite a bit away...

For the moment I'm planning an amazon biotope, with discus, altum angels, rams, a cloud of tetras and a herd of cories, but, as I said, it's still a long way off, I might change my mind in the meantime.

If you can successfully keep altums then you will be one of a select few - ludicrously tricky from what I've read.

The LFS people mentioned they have an "angels man" who basically could get anything, and whose altums are kinda hardier. He might even be able to get his hands on F1s or F2s. Haven't verified any of these claims yet, no point until I have where to put them.

Won't be before my parents sell their house though...
