Maidenhead Aquatics has loads of Bettas in and not just the veil tail. They have crown tails and half moons. And the other day they even had a load of females in.

For the first time I noticed they have a service where you can order a Betta. They had like a chart up with pictures of loads of lovely Bettas and prices were £5 each and you can order one in from the pics. I thought that was quite good.

For some reason the closest LFS to me doesn't get them in anymore. Have to travel over an hour to get a decent shop that stocks various ones. Even then, its poor.

My LFS rarely has females in as theres little demand (although they always know i will be by to take the leftovers!) when they do get them however they are lovely a nice range of colours and tails and the price is amazing (5 for £8.75!) usually quite a few nice looking PK males in there too which i tend to grab

neither of mine do that, although they do both stock males and females fairly regularly. Pets at home had a very pretty black and peach male the other day. I'd loved to have had him but I've currently nowhere to put him except in my Rio, don't think he'd like the current.

Blimey! I was in my local MA yesterday, all they had were standard veiltails, priced at £10 each.

My nearest MA never has any bettas in either. They certainly wont let you order them in! You're very lucky there Marie!

I saw a yellow one at petsmart but I was visiting my grandma five hours away and couldn't buy it it was really nice

Wow mine must have a local supplier or something. They even had ginat plakats on the list.

Yeah the only stores around here are Petco and petsmart so really nothing special here

Not got any room maisy. They have some stunning ones in there. I've got a female in my community tank already so he can't go in there and a male in my small tank. For some reason even though they're more common I love the veil tails.

Good idea that is! Can't say they do it near me though! I might keep a Betta in my Arc tank when I get round to setting it back up. Rather than shrimp again! Fancy something differnt
