I noticed last night that my dalmatian molly has ich. She was fine before I went to work, so the spots appeared within that 12 hour period. She has so much personality and is the greatest little fish, I'm going to be so sad if she goes... The water temp was a little above 80 when I got home and I lowered it before I even noticed she was sick because she was hiding. Warmer water really stresses her out and she went back to eating and playing once it got back into the 74-76 range. I added the quick cure to the water, filters removed and everything. Was going to add salt, but I can't find my salt so I'm going to give them all a salt bath in my spare tank after the treatment if it doesn't work and possibly even if it does... Any suggestions? I really love my little girl :(

I used quick cure recently with good results on my Platies, but I didn't get rid of the ich because my tetras were too sick. Whatever you do, treat at least 3 days AFTER you stop seeing the spots. Highers temps can speed up the parasite's life cycle, from what I hear. And that's good...the faster it falls off your molly, the faster the medicine will kill it.
