Hello! Iā€™m pretty sure she just scratched her eye on one of the decorations in the tank but I just wanna make sure. Itā€™s her right eye.

her tummy is bloated but Iā€™m pretty sure thatā€™s because on of my female guppies that she shares the tank with had babies and my beta had a hay day eating them before I noticed them and took them out. Iā€™m planning on not feeding her for a couple days and then giving her a peeled pea.

My beta, Rem, is currently laying on a specific spot of the substrate trying to get something below the pebbles, probably a bit of the sinking pellets I feed the Cory cats. She probably scratched her eye doing this.

she lives in a 29 gallon tank that has a divider in the middle. On her side she lives with two female guppies and two Cory cats. On the other side is 6 male guppies and 2 Cory cats. None of the other fish have popeye. I donā€™t have the water parameters but I just did a water change yesterday.

I just recently put a uv clarifier in the tank, in her side, and put in a boiled log. But other than that nothing has changed.

This morning I put her in my quarantine tank, a 1.6 gallon, and added 1/2 teaspoon of aquarium salt and let her swim in that for an hour before I brought her back to the main tank.
Any suggestions or just make sure the water is clean and keep an eye in her?

Edit: I added a couple pictures of her on Friday when she was stealing the sinking pellets from the Cory cats.
Edit 2: she hasnā€™t changed color at all. The lighting is why she looks so dark in the recent pictures.

The eye looks cloudy. Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week. Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.

Ah! I put her in a quarantine tank for a week, making sure the water was clean and it cleared right up!
