Whenever i do research on new fish i'd like to think about keeping and always check how much room they need... i have a 190l Trigon and if i used US gallons it would be 50g and UK is 41g.

Quite a difference. Which one do us fish keepers stick to? last thing i want is to buy a fish and provide it with 10g less than it should have

I use U.S. gallons, but I'm in the U.S. (and you know we just don't like acknowledging anyone else's measurement system! )

Its a good question because some sites will differ, use litres if not. Going by measurement is normally the best way as this is more representative of the tank. If you make sure you always check here first you shouldnt have any problems

Don't be like that... I think the American Revolution worked out well for both the U.S. and the U.K. :good: We got independence :fun: and you got a powerful ally to get you out of two world wars. :hey: (I'm just kidding folks....)

I think mast places normally go by US gallons. Is there any fish your thinking of because im sure the people on here will be able to help out with tank size.

^^^agreed, it tends to be USG that we work by. As we are all metric now.

no fish especially..... YET! basically ive given my brother the 30+ tetras i did have to concentrate of 2-3 larger single fish that arent OVERLY territorial.

Use dm[sup]-3[/sup] or Litre's, the standard unit for volume, saves the confusion, and you'll be set for the future.

Theres quite a few options then, Blue acara, Firemouths, Jack dempsy, Honduran red points, T Bar cichlids, Angelfish, Festivum Cichlid, Ropefish, Geophagus, Senegal bichir just to name a few.
