Here are some pics of some of my plants, some are doing better than others, some are flourishing, others really struggle......

I have recently upgraded to t5 bulbs which are on for 8 hours a day so what do I need to do? Do I need to increase and have the lights on for longer or start dosing with ferts?

This one was fine for 2 months but has now started to die off....

And these swords sprout plenty of new leaves but they don't get very big before dying off.....

What do I need to do? I'm not really into it enough to start using co2 and would rather not have the expense, if I start to use ferts, what ferts and how much how often, I have no idea about ferts and I'm a clean slate so to speak, I know less than nothing.......

Any replies or advice would be greatly appreciated.....

stalking for answers as i have just taken the leap from fake to real :)

What size is your tank and what wattage are your T5's?

The tank is 180 litre, I think is a 55g, The light unit I bought I'm sure is a 2x35w. I'm not at home so can't confirm but I'm sure they are....

I'd get some ferts yes, trace should do it.
