im having the hardest time with this. my problem is that i have a couple of Petco's near me that actually do have a pretty decent betta selection, which regularly includes exotic bettas like gorgeous crowntails, halfmoons, and superdeltas. they have (or at least did when i was there this morning) this one crowntail that was just absolutely a gem. he has a light blue body with light yellow fins which are just barely fringed all around with the same blue as his body, and he's healthy and active. im kinda running out of room to put anymore bettas. i suppose i could get one more for right now at least, but im confident that these stores will get in more beautiful fighters that i will want. so should i run out tomorrow morning and get him or do i wait for a better time and another betta? i really want this fish... (contrary to what your teachers might have told you in school there is a right answer to this question, and it is "yes, go get the betta you want") seriously, yay - nay. what say yee?

I played this game with a genuine albino in a petsmart..... I went back and forth for a couple days, and then when I went to purchase him, he was gone. I regretted it.

Buy the one you like. Don't go back and keep looking afterwards. If you don't have the space, make this your "satisfaction" purchase ;)

Not to fuel the fire or anyting :shifty:

thank you. that is a wonderful answer :D in fact i was just planning on getting that one crowntail but then i started thinking about this one superdelta they have (hopefully still have... and i think its a super) and i thought of a name for him so its settled, if he's still there when i make it back, im getting him... and the crowntail.... if he's still there too ;) lets hope so. i hope i get them both.

well im really disappointed, i went back up there and the ones i want werent as pretty as i thught they were. they did have this one halfmoon that i would have taken home except he has a chunk of his anal fin missing like he was in a fight and it got bitten off... but he's really pretty, he's bright red and has a trim around the edge of his fins about half a cm in length that is clear. i still might get him just to see if i can heal him up and get him looking like new, but then again he is expensive to be a fixer-uper. oh well, maybe next time. ill just have to keep my eyes open for my "satisfaction" purchase.

lol. you're straying from my advice......

:p

 .... ya i wish i had taken him but i dont really have the room and i barely had the money to afford him, Petco wanted $15 for him since he's a halfmoon. i did get another betta though on impulse a few days before that, a VT. he's gorgeous, though some ppl disagree. he's white with purple spots and sections of his tails are very clear. he's been making bubble nests too :D iv got him in some water with indian almond leaf extract right now so its kinda hard to see his true colors, ill take a picture when i do a water change and its clear :good: i think what ill have to do if i want any more is build a multi level stand with built in lighting to out lots of betta tanks on. i can even have some setup and running with just snails keeping it active till i find some satisfaction buys
