Do Blue Led Lights Cause Algae?

I'm thinking of getting a small 4 led blue light bar for my little betta tank. If I had that on at night does it cause algae like if I had the main light on too much?

Also most on ebay are from china, would you trust putting one in your tank?

They could cause algae, too much light always causes algae.

I don't have algae in any tanks I have the blue LED's. I think its all about correctly timing how long you have your lights on for. I know some people who have their LED's on all night.

I bought mine off ebay and found the only problem with it was that it came with a two pin plug. But they also provided an adapter. Get the ones with the dimmer switches on it
