Do Amano Shrimp 'fan' When Mature?

I have some large amano shrimp which are in my community tank with bamboo fam shrimp. One has taken to fanning the water column for food, this is happening in two of my tanks with fast moving water. Is this normal? http/www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr2C9Cxqtyo

I've have never kept amano or bamboo shrimps but reckon thats pretty norma as al shrimps don't stay in one are for long before moving all over the tank.
 
But reckon sounds normal to fan in faster moving waters as makes sense there would be more food collected that way.
