Disucs

A good a test as any is to set up a tank and when its cycled, add some Blue Rams and Cardinal Tetras. If after 3-4 months all fish are alive and doing well, you should be ready to take the next step and buy some Discus. Its a lot cheaper than buying a bunch of Discus and going from one desperate measure to the next to keep them alive.

ok thanks i will try that what hight should the tank be.

your 2ft high tanks should be fine. 18" is the minimum

2ft wow ok when i get my new tank i will change my 3ft into a discus set up but do what Cian McLiam suggested about leaving rams and cardinal tetras in there for 3- 4 months before i add the discus, is that right?

thanks Aussie

i mean 2ft (24") tall should be fine. The length of the tank however should be a lot longer, 4ft + would be ideal.

Yer i knew u meant 2ft in hight and 4ft or longer should be ideal for them right.
