do the water change and retreat the water, the nitrite will kill them quicker than any infection, its like standing in a burning building and breathing in smoke.

+1 You will do more damage to the fish leaving the nitrite at that level than you will do by doing a water change and remedicating.

Quit using the salt. Rams are sensitive to salt. It will only make the rams worse.
