Discus

I am new to Discus but have had Reef Tanks, and Freshwater Tanks for many years. I recently purchased a 2 1/2 inch Red Marlboro, Yellow Marlboro, Red Pigeon Blood and Red Golden Sunrise for The Discus Place. When they arrived they were all four yellow with a little black around the fins. The owner told me they would turn in 6 to 8 months. Does anyone know if this is true? I have a 2 inch Red Royal and Blue Royal and they are Red and Blue.

not being an expert but on discus but sounds a bit suspect, do a search and get some pics up on the internet of what they should look like

It takes about a year for them to show there true colors. If they are colorful at 2" then they maybe stunted or used hormones.
