Discus Hospital

Ok, today I'm going to get a spare tank to use ad a hospital tank as a last ditch attempt at saving my poorly discus. Only problem I have now is, somehow, my big discus appears to have early stages of dropsy or something. It's having to put extra effort in to stay in mid water.

Iv been doing 2 water changes a week since this all started and treating the water I am replacing, so I no its not down to poor water quality.

Could this be caused just by the stress of the extra water changes, medication or just by seeing the 1 he used to Chase slowly die?

Regardless.... I'm getting a hospital tank today and both of them are going in.

Sounds like theres alot going on in your tank. Don't know if you have, but might be worth testing the tap water just in case anything has changed. Wouldn't have thought the death would upset the other discus, not unless they were a breeding pair. Good luck with the hospital tank.
