If you give them the right requirements they rarely get sick. I have seen some of them take a beating too! So in a way, yes and no.

Angelmouse, how is the fry you kept from the first batch? Any pictures of him? How is his shape coming along?

This is the little fella from my first batch, difficult to get good photo as he hangs out in weeds, he is gona be alot smaller and his mouth is abit rounded,i def stunted him, but he seems a happy little guy and lovely colour(just starting to go orange), i though the others might bully him but they leave him alone

I cant even say how beautiful your fish are. Keeping discus is my dream, I'm just not ready yet but when I get there I can only hope that my fish look as nice as yours! It obviously shows how hard you work to keep them looking good!!!

Thanks guys.
alot of it is down to buying good quality fish in the first place, fish that have lots of peppering, dull colours and bad shape are never gona look as nice.
regards Angel

Angel can I ask, is it true that Pigeon Bloods dont produce enough mucus or is that a wifes tail.
We looked after a breeding pair, Pigeon blood female and a blue turquoise(I think thats right) male) and they had some eggs but they got covered in fungus, but they did breed previously and the fry mainly stayed on the male.

Sorry a little off topic, btw the discus are gorgeous! We had a gorgeous snakeskin but something took over the tank and killed her.
