Discus Fry Update + Other Babys

not sure about the mucus thing but it makes sense, my fry feed ok on the red marlbourgh but they very rarely went to the pigeon blood, and had to make sure the tank is always light and dark objects removed with water level lowered till they found the parents in first few days as pigeonbloods don't darken and they tryed to latch onto the sponge filter. Its a good job they are domesticated discus and not in the wild as they would get totally lost in the dark waters lol.

Angel is right, I read an article about this and that is the main problem with breeding Pigeon bloods.

no worries guineapigqueen, my threads are always open :- :drink: , i don't stress with all that hijack rubish. please feel welcome to post whatever, whenever, i like (need) the company lol .
Pigeonblood genes are dominant so if you put with any discus they will be all be pigeonblood babys, but unfortunatly crossing them will also cause heavy peppering so they don't look as nice, so they are best bred with other pigeonbloods ( or red marlbourgh which has pigeonblood genes so its ok) i think you may get clean fry if you cross with a pure white but got to check that. You just sometimes need to help things along to make it easier for them.
