Quick question:

Will discus rip up/destroy my plants, or will they be ok?

haha, maybe someone could move this to the correct section for me please?!

Hi Mate,
I had discus for a long while there and had plants with them. They never ripped them up or moved them around. Didnt seem interested in them. I didnt have any fancy plants or a C02 system or anything.

Goodluck with them.

Yeah wrong section. No discus don't bother plants at all. Very few plants are found in a discus natural habitat. I can give you a list of plant eating cichlids.

Discus I kept did not bother Sword plant's, Java fern,Vallisneria,Anubias,or crypts all of which do well in warmer temps that discus enjoy.
Water sprite,Cabomba, baby tears, java moss, all became snacks on occasion, and were often dislodged simply by the fish while foraging, or simply swimming through or near these plant's.
