I know alot about discus and kribs, and i am getting some money soon and wondered if i could put 2 kribs+ 2 discus together in a 30gallon tank. The reason I am asking this is becasue I dont think it has been done before.

Maybe, I wouldn't do it though. Whats the real point lol?

No, I wouldn't try it. Aspecially in a 30G! Kribs are aggressive, physco when breeding. Discus need everthing peaceful.

just wondering, i am graduating from 8th grade and i like discus, i had one before, and i uve kribs, so I thought, what if i could have both in the same tank?P.S. i already have the kribs.

ok 100% no,

1, discus need to be in groups of 5+

2, discus can only be kpt in 2's when a breeding pair,

3, if its a breeding pair of discus they will be threatend by the kribs could end up fatal

4, the kribs are to aggressive for discus

5, why did you only keep one when yu had them?

hope this answers your question :)

Because it was sick at the lfs and I wanted to take it home and try to heal it and sell it back, and i couldnt afford 2 at the time.

I am trying to be nice and not respond harslhy, but were did u get this ? I probably know more than u.

I think 01edmn comment was pointless and purposely insulting, stop posting rude comments because you have nothing else to do... Krib, if you don't care what he thinks why are you asking him to test your fishkeeping skillage lol! :shifty:

can be done not the best mix though, but you would need a bigger tank they will need their space, and discus would be best kept in a larger group, two pairs especially breeding pairs would spell trouble, water conditions for keeping discus would also need to be considered.Discus are happier with more gentle tankmates, any harrassment from other fish will affect their wellbeing
why not use your spare money to buy a larger tank you would have more options then.
