Well just wanted some opinions. I woke up this morning to my bichir laying on the gravel dead :-( I was so bummed. So i got my net to remove him and noticed that there was a rock stuck in his mouth  is it possible that he got the rock stuck and then couldnt breath and "drowned"....Im very bummed out and perplexed about this whole mess....

This is why you must do research on your fish BEFORE you buy them, bichirs are reasonably easy to keep but do have some needs which are different to normal community type fish.
Birchirs are clumsey feeders and will often take in mouthfulls of substrate as they feed so it is best to have sand or a very fine gravel substrate,if a bichir swallows a piece of gravel which is too large to pass through the intestine or blocks its airways (bichirs need to breathe atmospheric air) then the fish will die.

Aww... I'm sorry for your loss :-(!!! It's always hard to lose a fish, especially to something like that.
