Dirt Convert

Does have ingredients on the bag? or what it is made from?

I'm almost positive moler clay is always a red/brown colour, im not sure if the cat litter you have has any cec abilities.... if not it would be as useful as adding gravel on it's own tbh.

There is a good post on UKAPS regarding cat litter, will have a browse and see if i can find it. Many use the cat litter i suggested.

This is the tesco stuff wet, just a slightly redder color dry....

Thread on UKAP's ..... HERE!!!

some fullers earth apparently is Bentonite which does have CEC abilities, who know's i'll give it a go and compare it to phishyphil's results and see what happens.. if its no better than gravel at least the JI no.3 will help out the plants

Is this actually non clumping cat litter?.

There are a few different form of bentonite.... quick search brings this up...LINK

It's not directly linked to the aquatic hobby but from reading what it says i would be dubious of adding it to a tank with fish in?.

I would ask on the thread ive linked to for some more info, im sure DW will chime in with his superbly useful info :).

its non clumping i think... i'll pour water on it tomorrow and see if i can pick up a clump of it...
