Diffuser Stuck?

hey guys i have a Aqua Euro Glass CO2 Diffusers and it seems that the glass rod in the middle gets stuck so the co2 cant go thru the diffuser. if i shake it really hard it will eventually loosen up but when i reconnect it to the co2 line it gets stuck again. i tried soaking in in bleach for a while and then resoaking it in water, but that didnt seem to help.

has anyone had this problem before that would be able to advise me? thanks for the help

is it new? this happens if it is.
A bifilm usually forms on the surface of it allowing the bubbles to flow through unobstructed.
This usually happenes within 48 hours.
