very easy - males are bright red & blue and the females are not.

Male dwarf gouramis in the wild have diagonal stripes of alternating blue and red colors; females are a silvery color.

You will rarely find a female this colored:

i dont know about the color thing but heres the two wways ive learned to determine

the more difficult way is too look at their bodies. females have a bit more girth to them, theyre a bit rounder like.

the easier way is to look at their top fins. at the end of it towards their tail fin it either goes to a point or is more rounded. the pointed fins are males and the one that are more circular or round shaped are females!

really? With the male so brightly coloured compared to the female it is incredibly easy to tell the difference.
