i did a 30-40 % water change on my 40 gallon heavily planted tank . i dosed with recomended amount of flourish excel after wards . my ph went up a little bit . hardly anything though . all my fish are gasping and very lethargic like crazy . some much worse than others going to the top of tank for air or something . temp is the same ...
the only thing i did on this water change i had not before,... is use tetra aqua water clarifier as the water was pretty cloudy . which is supposed to be SAFE FOR ALL FISH AND PLANTS ...
any ideas . im not sure if i can do much . but any ideas on what i shouldnt do . i have my power head with the air intake on ...
thinking the water might not have enough oxygen in it or something. ?
should i keep it on. ? turn it off?
the water here in phoenix is very hard.. but like i said my ph didnt change in the tank much . so i dont know if its ph burn.
