DAY 1

Okay so it turns out fate has a sense of humour,

I was thinking about starting a molly diary two days ago when I bought two silver mollies (male and female). As the female only looked about two weeks pregnant I thought I would wait a couple of weeks or so. As it turns out she dropped last night  i diddnt even think she was that pregnant!

So this is the fries first day and there are 11 of them in the main tank at the moment there are the parents and a platy in that tank, however i will be slowly putting juvenile guppies into the tank as well.

Here are some pictures.

The sooner the better on those juvenile guppies. When you have a good mix of sizes, less fry get eaten by the adults.

Day: 3

just to update no fry have been eaten :hyper: but then I have read molly fry don't get eaten that often, because they are larger the parents occasionally look at them the fry take no notice and then the parents swim away.

So doing well so far being dosed on liquifry and powdered flake food.

Oh Happy Days!

Day 6:

Wow they are almost double the length when they came out they don't half grow fast

I see this so often. People think that if a guppy has a small belly they are not that pregnant but often times they only have a few fry in them! But it's always great when you get fry faster than expected!
