Design Ideas...

Hey,
I need help with some design ideas for my 80L tank when I come round to rebuilding it.

It will be housing corys, and corys only so I plan to have sand as a substrate. I have been looking into some plants and seeing as I am not very good with them I have decided to try with some amozon swords and some java ferns.

Currently I have a small piece of bogwood that isn't too interesting, therefore I am falling out with it.

I have no ideas for a backdrop or anything else, just fish and plants...

amazon swords are good, so are different cryptocoryne species, and what about anubias? These are all easy plants to grow and provide for a nice variety. No need for trimming these plants either.

The biggest thing on my mind at the moment is a centrepiece, I may have some clay, or a large pot.

For a centrepiece, an ozelot is a great sword, especially if you take the red variety.

Cabomba plants and moss balls are good growers in aquariums,my corys hide eggs on both of these
Backdrop wise- they do a good ones in the lfs,most are printed with a plant design one side or plain black or blue the other side...

I was planning on getting more hidey holes for the cories,especially when the lights are on has the skunks tend to hide in shaded parts,i looked into coconut shells but thought they were a bit small,so i bought this bridge from pet@home,only £5.95,not everyones cup of tea,but i actually like it now its in there,and more importantly the cories love it and hide out underneath

Not yet, I plan to decide on that closer to the time. The easiest to get hold of would be most convenient.

I reckon if I try harder with plants, and see them as something living in my tank rather than just a decoration I may succeed!
